The Role of Different Genes Involoved in Symbiotic Nitrogen Fixation - Review
نویسنده
چکیده
On the contrast to the well known, that there are other different genes involved in symbiotic nitrogen fixation in addition to nod, nif and fix genes. In this review we will discuss up to date the function of genes that can play a significant role in symbiotic N fixation such as nodulation, nitrogen fixation, production of 2 exopolysaccharides, Type I to Type VI secretion systems and other different genes. Among the other genes that involved in this process, are genes that could be related to host specificity, competition and infection of nodulation process. In addition to the signals from the host plant that are important for plant-Rhizobium communications system. This review article will highlight the discovering of new symbiotic genes and their roles in nitrogen fixation.

Novel European free-living, non-diazotrophic Bradyrhizobium isolates from contrasting soils that lack nodulation and nitrogen fixation genes – a genome comparison
The slow-growing genus Bradyrhizobium is biologically important in soils, with different representatives found to perform a range of biochemical functions including photosynthesis, induction of root nodules and symbiotic nitrogen fixation and denitrification. Consequently, the role of the genus in soil ecology and biogeochemical transformations is of agricultural and environmental significance....
متن کاملExpression of LjENOD40 genes in response to symbiotic and non-symbiotic signals: LjENOD40-1 and LjENOD40-2 are differentially regulated in Lotus japonicus.
Nitrogen fixation in nodules provides leguminous plants with an ability to grow in nitrogen-starved soil. Infection of the host plants by microsymbionts triggers various physiological and morphological changes during nodule formation. In Lotus japonicus, expression of early nodulin (ENOD) genes is triggered by perception of bacterial signal molecules, nodulation factors (Nod factors). We examin...
متن کاملA Medicago truncatula tobacco retrotransposon insertion mutant collection with defects in nodule development and symbiotic nitrogen fixation.
A Tnt1-insertion mutant population of Medicago truncatula ecotype R108 was screened for defects in nodulation and symbiotic nitrogen fixation. Primary screening of 9,300 mutant lines yielded 317 lines with putative defects in nodule development and/or nitrogen fixation. Of these, 230 lines were rescreened, and 156 lines were confirmed with defective symbiotic nitrogen fixation. Mutants were sor...
متن کاملGenomes of the symbiotic nitrogen-fixing bacteria of legumes.
Over the last several decades, there have been a large number of studies done on the genetics, biochemistry, physiology, ecology, and agronomics of the bacteria forming nitrogen-fixing symbioses with legumes. These bacteria, collectively referred to as the rhizobia, are taxonomically and physiologically diverse members of the a and b subclasses of the Proteobacteria, and mostly comprise members...
متن کاملOrigin and Evolution of Nitrogen Fixation Genes on Symbiosis Islands and Plasmid in Bradyrhizobium
The nitrogen fixation (nif) genes of nodule-forming Bradyrhizobium strains are generally located on symbiosis islands or symbiosis plasmids, suggesting that these genes have been transferred laterally. The nif genes of rhizobial and non-rhizobial Bradyrhizobium strains were compared in order to infer the evolutionary histories of nif genes. Based on all codon positions, the phylogenetic tree of...
